Information we collect
We collect the move details you submit (such as dates, addresses, home size, and inventory notes), your contact information (name, email, phone), account information when you create an account, and payment information processed by our payment provider. We also collect basic usage and device data to operate and improve the platform.
How we use your information
We use your information to generate estimates, match you with movers, process bookings and payments, communicate about your move, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service.
How we share your information
When you book a move, we share the relevant move and contact details with the assigned moving company so they can perform the job. We share payment information with our payment processor (Stripe). We may share information with service providers who help us run the platform (such as hosting, email, and SMS providers), and as required by law.
Payment data
Card payments are processed by Stripe. MoveMatch does not store your full card number. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy and security practices.
Data retention
We retain booking, payment, and communication records as needed to operate the platform, resolve disputes, meet legal and accounting obligations, and maintain a clear record of each move.
Your choices
You can request access to or correction of your information, and you can opt out of non-essential communications. Some records may be retained where we have a legal or operational obligation to keep them.
